ASIANIA (Asiania Parachute Federation) is a voluntary, non-profit sporting organisation that was established in 1994 at a special meeting at Chengdu, China, during the World Style and Accuracy Championships by a group of experienced parachutists and leaders eager to pursue the development and establishment of greater quality championships and competitions in the ASIANIA (Asian and Australasian) areas.
Countries that attended this meeting were Australia, China, China Taipei, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea and Thailand.
The number of member countries has increased over the years and now includes Australia, Bahrain, Brunei, China, China Taipei, Hong Kong China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Korea DPR, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mongolia, New Zealand, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Syria, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan.
ASIANIA provides encouragement and support in promoting all Asiania countries to join the FAI. www.fai.org
